What shop did this install? I'd hate to have something not put back together right and have some light not work or something rattling.... I'd hate that. The only way I would do this is to find a shop that has done at least 5 installs or do it myself. I'm 56 and not really in the mood to do it myself.

I have a 2002 sierra with a 5.3, but my trans cooler is built into the radiator, would this product still work if i got longer hoses?

What's the point of this

I have a 03 suburban 3/4 ton with the 4L80E tranny. With my model would the lines mount to the cooler or would i need different lines?

I was reluctant because of the price. When you get it, you'll see why it's more expensive. They designed it with a custom bracket to be super easy to get to, up front by the radiator. I saw some designs where you had to remove the engine shroud to get to the catch can. This installation appears OEM, and the quality of the components is top notch.

all i need is the heat exchanger itself as it comes right? No additional hoses or anything that It should of came with?

Hi mishimoto, I had professionals install the kit for me and my car started running a bit wonky under heavy load (75%-100% throttle) The ECU or ECM releases charged air pressure via the by pass valve under heady load. Sometimes it fuel cuts, and sometimes it does both Had professionals put the stock intercooler system back on and my car started running strong and healthy again Do I need a tune or something?

How to drain/empty the can?

Just installed this trans cooler on my 2012 Raptor. I live in Phoenix, i was seeing around 230 degree temps pulling hills in 110 degree weather. On my drive after install temps are around 208 degrees. Will update after my weeky trip to California. (The high tranny temps from pulling the hills on I-10 is why i bought this cooler). Transmission was also just serviced with new fluid and filter.

Hi, Great video. Why were worm gear clamps used for the new coolant hose instead of Spring Clamps that were originally used? What is the benefit of the new hose over the old hoses? Thanks!

I want to buy one but tell me one thing,. what about cold air? some air intakes have a down pipe to get some cold air form the fender,. how it really works? wont it get to much heatstroke? Does the shield give any protection at all? And is the Oem bottom box only a resonator or it works as well to get some cold air from the bottom? :)

Thanks for making & sharing this video. I just bought one of your radiators for my 1996 7.3 and it was very helpful. Especially listing out the tools and the steps. I wish more "how-to" videos would include this as it saves a ton of time trying to figure out what size wrench/socket to use.

Install was very easy. Most difficult parts were loosening the lower ac support bolt enough to fit the slot mount without taking the bolt off entirely. You do NOT want that bolt to come off it will be hard to thread it again woth the TC insalled. 2nd was fitting/tightening the lower hoses and fittings. Really not sure how the guy in the video has so much clearance despite having big man hands lol i could hardly get my hands in there. Good lookin product.
